Veterinary Surgeon – Lancashire Hospital
My Client are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their passionate and supportive team at a well‑established, community‑focused hospital in Lancashire.
This permanent, full‑time role offers the chance to work within a busy hospital environment. It is particularly suited to a vet with a strong interest in hospital‑based work, especially in the management of complex medical cases and inpatients.
Responsibilities
* 40 hours per week, split across a mix of early and late shifts between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm.
* Three days of inpatient care and one consulting day per week.
* Weekend rota covering one in every six full weekends.
* Collaborate with a team of six vets, seven day RVNs, three night RVNs, and client‑care assistants.
* Utilise full‑lab digital, dental X‑ray, ultrasound and VidiVet resources.
Qualifications
* Medical certificate and significant experience in internal medicine.
* Experience in management of complex medical cases and inpatients.
* Working towards further qualifications is desirable.
Team & Facilities
* Full night team and 2 RVNs trained in ultrasound.
* Access to VidiVet and full lab digital capabilities.
