General Ledger Supervisor
Location: Coventry Head Office (Middlemarch Business Park)
Hours: Full time 37.5 Monday-Friday

General Ledger Supervisor Role & Responsibilities
This full-time role is based in our Coventry Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team involved in the timely and accurate processing of overhead invoices, manual cash reconciliation of supplier accounts, ensuring prompt payment to suppliers subject to cash flow approval, and other duties necessary for producing monthly management accounts. Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the General Ledger Accounts Payable team, including training, review, and supervision to improve performance.
2. Matching overhead invoices to purchase orders.
3. Coding and processing invoices.
4. Reconciling supplier accounts to statements.
5. Resolving queries with sites and suppliers, ensuring proper authorization.
6. Entering and allocating manual cash accurately and promptly.
7. Ensuring suppliers are paid in accordance with terms, via BACS, cheque, or manual BACS, subject to cash flow approval.
8. Reviewing all overhead AP accounts to resolve and clear aged items.
9. Providing query statistics and assistance with ad-hoc investigations.
10. Assisting in preparing management information and supporting internal and external audits.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of purchase ledger or general ledger experience, supervisory experience, and preferably experience in a high-volume transactional environment. Experience in a multi-site or head office setting for a multi-national business would be advantageous.
