🚨 Senior Quantity Surveyor – Rail / Infrastructure
We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a project team supporting the delivery of major infrastructure works. This role will focus on post-contract commercial management across a range of engineering work packages, helping to keep projects on track from both a cost and delivery perspective.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing post-contract commercial support across assigned work packages
2. Managing costs across subcontract, materials, plant, and direct labour
3. Supporting change control and managing variations
4. Acting as the main commercial contact for work package managers and project teams
5. Providing contractual and commercial support to project managers and engineers
6. Forecasting costs, managing budgets, and tracking performance against plan
7. Identifying and managing risks across work packages
8. Producing and contributing to internal and external commercial reports
9. Making sure processes and documentation meet required standards
10. Building strong relationships with finance, delivery teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
11. Maintaining clear, auditable commercial records
What we’re looking for:
12. Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a contractor-side environment
13. Background in rail, construction, engineering, defence or similar project environments
14. Degree qualified (or equivalent), ideally working towards RICS, IACCM or similar
15. Confident managing both subcontract and direct labour costs
16. Experience handling variations, forecasting and cost reporting
17. Strong commercial awareness and good contractual knowledge
18. Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines
19. Confident communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
20. Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Project and Outlook
