Job title - Assistant Project Procurement Manager
Location: either Crawley, or Northampton or Goole. You will be based out of the office you live closest to.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The role offers flexible start and end time as long as core hours are covered between 9 - 3. Also possible to only work 4 days per week, this can be agreed on with your 37.5 hours per week split over the 4 days.
Contract length: 12 months
Rate: £25.64 per hour PAYE - Inside IR35
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Procurement Manager to work for the Rail Systems service business of a major brand name organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join their dynamic Customer Services Procurement Team.

The Role:
The mission of the Procurement Department is to work with their Supply Chain, particularly their UK suppliers, to find innovative products and services. They work in close collaboration with their cross functional colleagues to ensure they deliver great products for their customers.
Reporting to the Head of Project Procurement, you will manage various sourcing activities which will play a key role in ensuring that the UK’s rail network supplies the best possible services to passengers. You will support the delivery of their train maintenance projects across the UK through the management of supplier performance.
Responsibilities:
You will make an impact by:
* Developing robust procurement strategies aligned to bid / project scope requirements and drive these through the implementation phase.
* Develop the skills required to draft subcontracts and negotiate with suppliers.
* Support and maintain the procurement strategy and ensure this is aligned with the wider business
* Participate in project kick off meetings to ensure procurement requirements are built in at the front end.
* Implementing robust procurement processes and controls into the projects in line with governance.
* Build and keep effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
* Implement a robust Supplier Management regime to document supplier performance and drive improvements.
* Identify Supply Chain Risks and ensure these are documented as part of their wider due diligence process.
