Salary: £49,781.00 - £54,939.00 Annually (FTE)
Additional Allowance: Plus 2.5 Extraneous Duties Allowance (£1,801 per annum)
Our client, a thriving and inclusive academy based in Wokingham, is seeking a skilled and compassionate SENDCo to join their leadership team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a pivotal role in a supportive school community, offering the opportunity to shape and lead the strategic development of SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils with additional needs thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
* Coordinate and implement EHCPs and individual support plans
* Provide guidance and support to staff on inclusive teaching strategies
* Monitor and track progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring interventions are effective
* Work closely with external agencies, families, and the wider school team
* Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all learners
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
* A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
* Proven experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
