Job Title: Maintenance Operative
Hours: 16 per week
Rate of Pay: £ to £ per hour (Depending on Experience)

A typical day in the life of a Maintenance Operative includes:
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, and fitness equipment
- Monitoring preventative maintenance contractors to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment
- Addressing and resolving maintenance issues promptly, such as fixing leaks, electrical faults, and equipment malfunctions
- Troubleshooting problems and coordinating with external contractors for repairs when necessary
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies
- Conducting safety checks and risk assessments, reporting hazards to the Maintenance or General Manager
- Keeping all areas of the club, including gym floors, changing rooms, and common areas, in good repair and order
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driving license and own vehicle
Desirable qualifications include a diploma or vocational qualification in a related field, with experience in plumbing and joinery. An electrical qualification such as the 17th Edition would be advantageous.
