Offer description

The Improvement Support Officer will provide end to end project support to the Clinical Audit and Improvement team, from receiving new clinical audit, improvement requests and signposting to relevant team member to providing administration to meetings. The postholder will support with the development and design of systems and process relating to clinical audit and improvement governance.


Main Duties of the Job

* Team roster, leave and sickness management
* Team meetings / away days / training sessions and events
* Team data management and filing systems
* Team resources and information
* Team inbox administration and work requests
* Clinical audit registration and monthly reporting
* Data collation, input and analysis to support delivery of the Clinical Audit Forward Plan.

Job Responsibilities

Communication & Relationship Skills
* Work closely with staff in the Trust involved in clinical audit and improvement programmes
* Support the clinical audit and improvement programme delivery, and promoting the activity and strategy of the department
* Maintain and develop back office Clinical Audit and Improvement team functions and team administration
Analytical & Judgemental Skills
* Judgements involving a range of facts or situations which require analysis
* Assist in the analysis of quantitative data
* Assist in approval and registration of clinical audit and quality improvement projects.
Planning & Organisational Skills
* Planning and organisation of straightforward tasks, activities or programmes, some of which may be ongoing
* Organise meetings associated with clinical audit projects study
* Arrange Team meetings and away days and the administration around these
* Arrange briefings for teams as appropriate, and undertake presentations if required
* Organise groups associated with clinical audit projects
* Organise data collection opportunities associated with the clinical audit projects
* Orders supplies for team.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, the majority of which are non-routine, which require some level of theoretical knowledge
* Knowledge of administrative procedures, including computer software, especially databases, data analysis software and clinical information systems
* Knowledge of clinical audit and improvement.


Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience Essential
* Effective administration experience
* Knowledge of clinical audit and improvement methodologies
* Experienced in participating & contributing to team discussions
Desirable
* Clinical Audit experience
* Experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental illness
