Job Description:
The role ofRemediation Officer is responsible for overseeing the Assessment and Remediation element of the Compliance & Audit function by monitoring and reporting on the compliance of key building elements. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
* To monitor and report on the compliance of Fire Safety equipment, lift & general M&E equipment, fire doors and cladding.
* Writing, implementing and reviewing processes.
* To act as the Groups Primary Authority Liaison.
* Working closely with the management team and other stakeholders to respond to Enforcement Notices and Fire Events.
* To offer guidance in response to Fire Risk Assessments.
* Tracking and answering Landlord Certificate queries from clients.
* Answering Apartment Resales queries in relation to compliance status of buildings.
* Liaising with Property Managers and leaseholders in relation to remediation projects with Government and developers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:
* Experience in managing residential buildings in a managing agent environment.
* An understanding of building safety related legislation.
* Experience of major remediation projects.
* Great communication skills and the ability to manage contractor relationships.
* Experience of instructing and interpreting building/asset assessments.
* Ideally qualified to ATPI level.
* Open minded and self motivated with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
* Ability to understand and present new ideas.
* Great IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
* Full UK driving licence.
