Are you a compassionate and reliable Support Worker looking for flexible agency opportunities? We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team, delivering high-quality care and support to adults with a range of needs in Blackwood.
This role offers the chance to work with a trusted care provider, where you can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while benefiting from the flexibility that agency work provides.
Applicants must hold a valid All Wales Manual Handling Passport.
Key Responsibilities
5. Deliver person-centred support with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, ensuring each individual’s needs and preferences are met.
6. Provide companionship and emotional support to help reduce loneliness, promote wellbeing, and encourage positive mental health.
7. Support individuals to maintain independence by enabling participation in community activities, social engagement, and attendance at appointments.
8. Assist with safe mobility and transfers using approved Moving and Handling techniques, always prioritising dignity, comfort, and safety.
9. Respond to individuals who may present with challenging behaviours in a calm, professional, and supportive manner, ensuring a safe environment for all.
10. Encourage and empower clients to achieve their personal goals, build confidence, and improve their overall quality of life.
What We’re Looking For
11. All Wales Manual Handling Passport – Essential
12. Minimum 6 months UK-based care/support experience
13. A caring, patient and professional attitude
14. Reliability and excellent communication skills
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Flexibility to work various shifts
