Job Title: MIG Welders Location: Peterlee, County Durham Salary: £19.55 per/hour (Not inclusive of overtime, shift premium or bonus) Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 36.5 hours per week Days: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00. Friday, 08:00 - 12:30 Back shift: Monday - Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00. Friday, 12:30 - 17:00 Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00. Job Summary: Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Perform manual finish welding operation in 2F, 3F, 4F & 3G positions Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations Use of jib and overhead crane to manually position work pieces Skills, experience & qualifications you will have: Experience in MIG Welding (Solid Wire) Time served in Welding / Fabricating with at least 3 years' experience Prior experience in heavy fabrication or manufacturing environments working on build/welding fixtures to tight tolerance Perform multi-pass welds Ability to work well in a team environment or individually Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork Desired Qualifications: Vertical Weld experience advantageous Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Experience welding 2mm - 20mm thickness material Successful candidates must be able to pass the following: 2F, 3F, 4F & 3G positions Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations Safety is a core value at Caterpillar.
