Here at Ignite, we’re partnering with an ambitious, high-growth FMCG start-up looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join their team.
This is a pivotal hire. You’ll work closely with the Head of Sales while owning major grocery accounts, leading commercial strategy, and driving significant growth across the UK market. From day one, you’ll have real autonomy, full P&L responsibility, and a seat at the table when it comes to shaping the brand’s retail expansion strategy.
This is not a “manage what’s there” role. It’s a build, scale and accelerate opportunity.
What You’ll Do
🍓 Own and lead key national grocery accounts with full P&L responsibility
🍓 Develop and execute joint business plans to deliver revenue and profit growth
🍓 Identify and unlock new distribution opportunities across major retail
🍓 Lead top-to-top conversations and build strong senior buyer relationships
🍓 Drive promotional strategy, forecasting and commercial planning
🍓 Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Supply to deliver best-in-class activation and NPD launches
🍓 Analyse performance data to spot opportunities and course-correct quickly
🍓 Support and mentor more junior team members as the business scales
What We’re Looking For
🍓 5+ years FMCG account management experience, with exposure to major UK grocery
🍓 Proven success managing large retail accounts with full P&L ownership
🍓 Strong commercial acumen and confidence leading buyer negotiations
🍓 Experience in a high-growth or challenger brand environment preferred
🍓 Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute
🍓 Highly organised, analytical and comfortable working at pace
🍓 Passion for purpose-led brands and scaling something meaningful
