Position Details
Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: £17.23 per hour
Area: Cramlington, Northumberland
Contracts on a rolling 4‑weekly rota after training and probation are completed.
Full Clean UK Driving Licence required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with physical support and mobility.
- Provide complex medical and personal care.
- Prepare allergy‑intolerance‑friendly meals daily.
- Accompany to social activities such as cinema, concerts, theatre and nightlife.
- Support independence at home and by school, including being on hand for medical or care needs.
- Follow training, safety procedures and work within the care team.
Essential Requirements
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
- Safe driving of an adapted automatic Mercedes Sprinter Van.
- Non‑smoker.
- No perfume or aftershave during shifts.
- No long nails, rings or watches during shifts.
- Female.
- Minimum 1 year of physical care experience.
Shift Patterns
Example shift patterns for a 36‑hour a week contract:
- Week 1: Tuesday and Wednesday night shift (20:00‑08:00), Saturday day shift (08:00‑20:00).
- Week 2: Monday and Tuesday day shift (08:00‑20:00), Saturday night shift (20:00‑08:00).
- Week 3: Thursday and Friday night shift (08:00‑20:00), Sunday day shift (20:00‑08:00).
- Week 4: Monday night shift (20:00‑08:00), Wednesday and Thursday day shift (08:00‑20:00).
