Job Opportunity
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred care and support to individuals with diverse and challenging needs. You’ll help them build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. No two days are the same – you’ll be making a difference where it matters most.
What You’ll Do
* Support individuals with mental health challenges in their daily lives.
* Promote independence and wellbeing through tailored care plans.
* Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider team.
* Respond with empathy and creativity to complex situations.
* To facilitate the delivery of a service which follows a person-centred ethos and promotes independence.
* To complete dynamic risk assessments and support plans.
* Promote wellbeing and appropriately manage risk.
* Ensure adherence to company and national policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
What We’re Looking For
* A caring, resilient, and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in mental health or social care is desirable.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
* Ability to positively address and challenge inappropriate or negative behaviours and attitudes.
* Experience of using therapeutic de-escalation and/or crisis intervention techniques.
* Able to respond to changes in an individual’s needs and meet deadlines.
* To encourage and manage participation and involvement from the people we support.
* Computer literate, with confidence in using all Microsoft office programmes.
