We currently have a vacancy for a college porter on our main Bailrigg Campus within the Facilities Division at Lancaster University to cover a temporary absence. The position is full-time, working an average of 42 hours per week on a 24-hour shift rotation. The post attracts a shift allowance and contractual overtime. Due to the temporary nature of the role, the initial end date is 6th January 2025, but this is flexible.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Portering experience is desirable but not essential; experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
4. Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English.
5. Committed to high standards, able to work independently, and adaptable in solving day-to-day problems.
6. Willingness to undergo development training.
