Location: Hybrid (Remote with site visits - Stafford)
Start Date: ASAP
Engagement: Contract / Fractional (Outside IR35) - 2 to 5 days per week
Day Rate: £Negotiable / Excellent (Fractional or Contract Opportunity)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential
Are you an experienced Cost Modelling Consultant with a background in automotive, motorsport, or advanced manufacturing? We’re partnering with a cutting-edge high-performance engine programme that needs financial leadership to shape its cost strategy from the ground up.
This is a contract or fractional consulting role, designed for someone who thrives in fast-moving, technically complex environments where traditional ERP systems may not cut it.
Key Focus Areas:
* Design and implement scalable cost models for engine development
* Build robust financial processes across engineering, procurement and operations
* Identify cost leakage and drive actionable insights for decision-makers
* Develop board-ready reporting and cost control governance
* Work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to embed best practices
About You:
* Extensive experience in cost modelling / financial cost control
* Deep knowledge of absorption costing and engineered product cost structures
* Previous exposure to F1, Motor Sport, Automotive, Aerospace, or Low-Volume Manufacturing
* Confident working independently while integrating seamlessly with wider teams
* Able to challenge assumptions and influence at board level
