We are working in partnership with an inclusive community‑driven school who are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their school as soon as possible on a long-term ongoing basis.
You will be joining a team which is friendly, supportive, and passionate about creating a learning environment where students with additional needs feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school to improve outcomes for all pupils.
*
Assisting with the development and implementation of EHCPs
*
Provide targeted support to individuals and groups, including those pupils with English as an additional language or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. 
*
Ensure the safety, welfare and inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life. 
*
Help pupils to access the full curriculum, at the same time promoting independent learning.
*
Observe pupils’ learning and using the systems in place in the school or class, provide the teacher with feedback on pupil progress and help to maintain individual and group records.
*
Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups, liaising with and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
*
Help prepare and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment for learning.
*
Provide care about the physical welfare of pupils, including pupils with medical needs.
*
Use a range of support methods and resources, including IT, appropriate to the needs of individuals and groups, as directed by the Class Teacher. 
*
Meet regularly with the Class teacher to discuss pupils’ progress and to plan and review support.
*
Be familiar with, actively support and comply with all the school policies and procedures.
*
Deliver structured intervention and catch-up programmes. 
*
Respect the confidentiality of pupil information and respond sensitively to pupils’ needs. 
Education, Qualifications and Knowledge
*
Relevant qualification in education or SEND.
*
Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
*
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and communication tools such as PECS and Makaton.
*
Excellent communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach.
*
Patience, positivity, and a genuine passion for helping children grow.
*
The ability to work as part of a supportive, committed team.
