Thank you for expressing an interest in becoming a class teacher at Farsley Springbank primary school. The post is temporary in the first instance. We are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher, who is highly motivated and enthusiastic, to join our popular and successful school. The post will initially be in Year 5.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person who would thrive on this opportunity to develop his/her experience and make a significant contribution to school, both in and out of the classroom. We are looking for someone who can bring that ‘extra bit’ to Springbank. We are a close knit, hardworking and friendly staff team; our children are keen to learn and our parents and governors are supportive of our wonderful school.

You will need to be totally committed to high standards of learning and children’s well-being. We have the highest expectations of every pupil and strive for them to achieve excellent standards in all that they do, both academically and socially through an exciting and engaging curriculum and wide range of experiences. This is a wonderful opportunity for colleagues to join our fantastic school team and share in its success.

We are looking for a highly motivated teacher who:

•Is positive, optimistic and enthusiastic with a passion for teaching and learning.

•Is innovative, creative and has high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge children.

•Is able to build positive relationships with children, staff, parents and our wider community.

•Is a team player and willing to be involved in every aspect of school life.

•Is committed to their own professional development.

We can offer:

•Happy, confident children who enjoy learning and achieve well.

•A friendly, welcoming school with talented, dedicated and happy staff who are hardworking and passionate about their roles and responsibilities.

•A commitment to empowering all our staff to achieve exceptional teaching for themselves and others through professional development, coaching and leadership opportunities.

•A supportive and active Governing Board.

If you are passionate about teaching and learning, this could be the job for you!

It is important that prospective candidates feel we are the right school for them and vice versa. We want our staff to be happy at work so they can thrive professionally, delivering engaging and challenging learning for our children; happy staff means happy children and happy children learn! We aim for both staff and children to ‘be the best they can be.’

Applicants are warmly welcome to come and visit the school. Please contact the school office on 0113-2558719 to arrange a mutually convenient time. We look forward to meeting you.

Please visit our website for further details.

The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 5th June 2026.

Shortlisting will take place after the closing date and successful candidates will be contacted and invited for tasks and interview.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and satisfactory references.
