Guided Weapon Production Capability Branch (GWPCB) has a new role available for an APS6 Project Support Officer. In this role you will contribute to the establishment of domestic manufacturing of selected guided weapons and explosive ordnance in Australia. As a Project Support Officer, you will help keep the competing priorities in a multi stage program on track through engagement and coordination.

As an APS 6 in Guided Weapon Production Capability Branch, you will be given the unique opportunity to work in a high profile program within a diverse team to deliver to the Australian Defence Force, systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability. Your responsibilities will require you to apply your administration or project management skills and experience across a diverse range of activities with the Industry Partners, Foreign Government agencies and internal stakeholders in support of the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability.

About our Team
Guided Weapon Production Capability Branch is part of the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Manufacturing Division (GWEOMD) and is responsible for the establishment of selected GWEO domestic manufacturing as directed in the National Defence Strategy 2024. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.

GWEOMD comprises approximately 560 dedicated employees performing activities such as requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal.

GWEOMD partners with domestic and international industry to deliver materiel capability to Defence, managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities to support the ADF.
