Structural Engineer

Become part of something new and exciting…
Would you like to join an up-and-coming structural engineering practice as its fourth employee?
The workload is currently exceptionally busy, and the practice is now ready to expand by adding a more junior team member with appropriate support. The firm plans to grow to over 6 staff within the next few years.
The Director is MIStructE qualified, personable, and experienced in mentoring for Chartership. He has been part of a reputable London practice for 10 years and has recently established his own brand.
This role suits a graduate structural engineer with 6 months to 2 years of building design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD. A highly capable recent graduate will also be considered. You will be given flexibility and autonomy typical of a small practice.
The firm shares a newly fitted office space with a friendly architect team, providing a collaborative environment.
This position is ideal for a driven individual with excellent communication skills, eager to develop, involved in all project aspects, and contribute to the company's future — not just number crunching!
The work is diverse, often architecturally led bespoke projects, generally valued at £1m-£3m, including new builds, extensions, supermarkets, bespoke residential schemes, internal staircases, hillside houses, townhouses, garage conversions, temporary works, and refurbishments.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to achieve Chartership are essential.
Benefits include 25 days holiday, pension scheme, mobile, laptop, flexible working environment, and proximity to transport links and eateries. The office features sit/stand desks, a basement café, showers, lockers, and cycle parking.
No visa sponsorship is offered.
