Registered Manager - Children’s Residential Care
Location: Dewsbury. Full-time. Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operation of a brand‑new 4‑bed therapeutic children’s home. This role offers the chance to take ownership from the start and shape its culture, systems and practice from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
* Register as the OFSTED‑Registered Manager and ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Oversee the full set‑up and ongoing running of the new 4‑bed home, embedding therapeutic and trauma‑informed approaches.
* Lead recruitment, training and professional development for your team.
* Ensure robust safeguarding processes and a strong culture of accountability.
* Manage budgets, rotas and resources to deliver safe, sustainable operations.
* Develop care planning and quality assurance systems that deliver measurable impact.
* Build positive partnerships with local authorities, commissioners and inspectors.
* Participate in the organisational senior management on‑call rota.
Candidate Profile
Essential
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a children’s residential setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, OFSTED standards and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
* Experience of managing teams and delivering consistently high standards of care.
* Confident in financial and resource management.
Desirable
* Level 7 qualification in Strategic Leadership (e.g. MBA, CMI Award).
* Training in therapeutic models such as PACE, TCI or Trauma Recovery Model.
* Previous experience leading an OFSTED‑rated Good or Outstanding service.
