Part-Time Family Time Worker – Bolton Council
We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Family Time Worker to join the Children’s Services – Staying Safe team in Bolton. This is a rewarding and varied role focused on delivering high-quality, child-focused interventions that support positive outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and their families.
As a Family Time Worker, you will:
* Plan, deliver and record safe and purposeful Family Time sessions.
* Work directly with children and families, many of whom may have complex needs.
* Support the wider social care team by contributing to assessments and care planning.
* Promote child development, positive parenting, and safe family relationships using evidence-based approaches.
* Escort children and supervise family time in various settings including community venues and family homes.
* Manage a small caseload and maintain accurate records.
* Work collaboratively with professionals across multiple agencies.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with:
* A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth Work, etc.).
* Experience working with children and families, particularly in multi-agency or safeguarding settings.
* A compassionate and non-judgmental approach with strong communication and organisational skills.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
This role will require some evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service. You’ll be supported through regular supervision, development opportunities, and a strong team ethos.
