Description We are looking for a Chief Field Engineer to join a landmark Energy project in Teesside. Reporting to the Construction Manager and in support of the responsible Area Leads (North and South) and Commissioning Manager, this role provides technical construction engineering leadership, including management oversight, coordination, supervision of key project support functions, constructability and work-entry functions. It also delivers close technical support to the construction management teams, particularly in relation to AGI construction activities, constructability processes, technical welding applications, and the timely resolution of site technical queries Click the link for the job description, responsibilities, and qualifications - OPSED01 - Chief Engineer.pdf Responsibilities Construction phase on site construction engineering leadership Deputise for Area and/or Construction Leads (as required) Lead construction readiness process (Construction Readiness Coordinator) Functional oversight of: Senior Construction Engineer Construction Readiness Coordinator EC&I Construction Lead Work Packaging Lead Lead Permit Issuer Materials & Logistics Manager PC & Enabling Lead (TWC) Provide close technical AGI (TGPP) construction engineering support Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards Oversight of the constructability process (Senior Construction Engineer as Constructability Lead) Support troubleshooting and identification of technical solutions Liaise with home engineering teams to resolve design changes and field engineering issues Facilitate timely identification, resolution and implementation of site technical queries Actively support technical, quality, assurance and SHE compliance Support commissioning teams Qualifications Essential 10 years of applicable experience Experience of EPC / EPCm contracts across the Teesside industrial complex including Wilton and North Tees Detailed experience of onsite Construction Management including safe delivery, to time, quality and budget Detailed working knowledge and application of CDM 2015 Track record in conducting Readiness Reviews, Constructability Workshops and Construction Hazard recognition processes Detailed knowledge of Safe Systems of Work Broad understanding of UK regulatory framework, Construction engineering principles, industry best practice and construction techniques Proven team-working skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team Builds positive relationships with supply chain Strong communication skills Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working Experience of managing technical and programme interfaces with adjacent and interdependent projects Chartered Eng. Status, BTEC (Higher) or equivalent Technical welding (CSWIP or similar) NEBOSH general Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely Applicable trade discipline background Microsoft software packages
