An excellent opportunity to join a global law firm as a Bid Manager, supporting high-value panel and matter opportunities in a fast-paced and strategically focused environment. This position sits within a high-performing business development and marketing team and plays a key role in driving pursuit strategy and pitch delivery across the firm’s international offices.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in pitches, tenders or proposals within professional services, and a keen interest in client strategy and commercial growth.
Role

Lead the development and delivery of strategic pitch and proposal documents
*
Collaborate with practice and sector BD teams across the global network
*
Ensure all pitch materials are compliant, client-focused and visually compelling
*
Coordinate internal stakeholders, including pricing, finance, compliance and legal teams
*
Provide coaching and guidance to pitch teams on presentation and Q&A best practices
*
Track market intelligence and incorporate it into pursuit strategy
*
Maintain and enhance pitch database content and templates
*
Drive improvements in pitch processes, reporting and performance tracking
Candidate Requirements
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pitch, proposals or business development role within legal or professional services
*
Experience working on complex tenders and multi-jurisdictional submissions
*
Excellent writing and communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
*
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment
*
APMP certification is preferred
*
Strong project management, relationship building and influencing skills
*
Commercial mindset and an interest in global legal markets
This role is based in Birmingham, with hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 remote).
