THE ROLE
Founded in Paris in 1904, Coty is one of the world’s largest beauty companies, with a portfolio of iconic brands across fragrance, color cosmetics, and skin and body care. Coty serves consumers around the world, selling prestige and mass-market products in approximately 125 countries and territories.
As part of our global Corporate Affairs team, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Coty’s corporate reputation across sustainability and responsible marketing, with secondary support across our corporate social media channels.
The role has a global scope, working with teams around the world and across the three pillars of ESG (environment, social, governance), and collaborating with colleagues in Corporate Affairs, sustainability, and social media. You will support delivery of Coty’s Beauty that Lasts sustainability strategy through internal and external communications, content creation, copywriting, and stakeholder engagement.
While sustainability communications and responsible marketing will be the primary focus, this role is well suited to a generalist Corporate Affairs profile with strong digital instincts — particularly someone who is well informed on sustainability, social-media native, highly attuned to global current affairs, and curious about how societal trends shape Coty and our brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support development of Coty’s annual sustainability report, including storytelling, communications, and coordination.
2. Contribute to Coty’s Responsible Marketing work, including support for policies, toolkits, training materials, and internal guidance.
3. Deliver internal and external sustainability and corporate campaigns for key moments such as International Women’s Day, Earth Day, and other global milestones, in line with the wider Corporate Affairs calendar.
4. Provide secondary support across Coty’s corporate social media channels, including copywriting, content support, monitoring, reporting, posting, and day-to-day coordination.
5. Create content across formats, including social media, presentations, press materials, internal communications, and short-form video.
6. Monitor external news, policy developments, and geopolitical trends to help identify reputational risks and opportunities for Coty and its brands, with a particular focus on sustainability and responsible marketing.
7. Conduct research, monitoring, and benchmarking to inform continuous improvement and future opportunities.
8. Support the development of messaging and corporate statements on sustainability, responsible marketing, ingredients, regulation, and societal issues.
9. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as needed to support delivery of communications initiatives.
10. Provide broader support to the Corporate Affairs team on cross-functional communications projects and ad-hoc initiatives as needed.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
11. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in sustainability, communications, international relations, business, or a related discipline preferred.
12. Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability and responsible marketing through study, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
13. General understanding of Corporate Affairs and reputation management, with curiosity about how global events, policy, and geopolitics affect multinational companies.
14. Strong interest in social media and digital storytelling, with an understanding of credible corporate brand presence online.
15. Experience using Canva or similar design tools is essential.
16. Comfortable using AI tools to support communications work (e.g. research, drafting, ideation), with sound judgment and editorial rigor.
17. Previous experience in a business environment preferred (multinational exposure a plus).
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
18. Impeccable written communicator, able to adapt tone and content across audiences and channels.
19. Confident presenter and strong interpersonal communicator, with an interest in further developing these skills.
20. Curious and outward-looking, with a strong interest in current affairs, societal trends, and reputation-shaping issues.
21. Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
22. Strong editorial judgment, balancing speed, accuracy, and sensitivity in corporate communications.
23. Visually aware, with an eye for well-crafted, on-brand content.
