Senior Platform Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £64,000

Key Responsibilities
• Design and build secure, scalable platforms using AWS (preferred) or Azure
• Define infrastructure-as-code pipelines using Terraform, CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
• Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver Proof of Concept and Production systems
• Contribute to automated testing strategies and static code analysis (e.g. SonarQube)
• Integrate platform solutions into mission-critical systems in national security environments
• Support new team formation and DevOps capability uplift across London, Leeds, and Manchester hubs
Requirements
• Proficient in one or more programming languages: Python, .NET, JavaScript, or Java
• Strong experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), version control (Git)
• Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure automation
• Comfortable working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Eligible for SC Clearance to start, with willingness to progress into DV and undertake occasional overseas assignments
• Strong team player with a proactive mindset, eager to shape new delivery teams
Desirable Skills
• Exposure to cloud ML platforms (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML)
• Experience deploying data/API services and microservice architectures
• Previous consulting or defence/national security sector experience
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar configuration management tooling
