Your Role:
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll be a key player in ensuring our financial records are accurate and up to date. You'll work as part of a supportive team, handling invoices, resolving queries, and building relationships across the business and with external suppliers.
• Processing purchase invoices efficiently through our finance system
• Handling and resolving invoice and payment queries via email and phone
• Managing and correcting invoice exceptions
• Collaborating with both internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues
• Dealing with purchase order queries and supporting compliance
• Tracking pro forma and VAT invoices
• Performing ledger reconciliations and other general housekeeping tasks
• Supporting with administrative tasks and ad-hoc finance duties
What We're Looking For:
You don't need to be a finance expert (though some experience helps), but you will need to bring a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset.
• Good Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, sorting/filtering data)
• Confidence in solving problems independently
• Clear and professional communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• A collaborative and flexible approach
• Some previous experience in a finance or accounts role (advantageous but not essential)
