The Role
I am currently seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join my client’s expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a genuine interest in developing long‑term client relationships. The successful candidate will handle a broad range of private client matters but must also have experience in trust administration, including ongoing management, trustee support, and complex estate planning structures. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career within a supportive and reputable firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate planning, LPAs, and advising high‑net‑worth individuals.
* Administering a variety of trusts, including discretionary, life‑interest, and charitable trusts.
* Providing advice to trustees and beneficiaries on compliance, reporting, and tax implications.
* Drafting trust documents and related legal instruments.
* Maintaining strong, long‑term client relationships through clear communication and excellent service.
* Supporting the wider private client team and contributing to business development where appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (ideally 3+ PQE, but all levels considered).
* Demonstrable experience in trust administration is essential.
* Strong technical knowledge across core private client areas.
* Excellent communication skills and a client‑centred approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
* A genuine desire to develop and progress long‑term within the firm.
* STEP qualification or progress toward it is advantageous but not essential.
