About the team
You will join the Retail, Supply Chain and Logistics Finance team, partnering closely with our Retail Omnichannel and Logistics Transformation function. The team sits at the centre of strategic decisions across the retail operation, supporting major transformation programmes focused on delivering sustainable cost savings while protecting customer experience and long‑term performance. This is a high‑profile, fast‑moving environment where finance plays a crucial role in shaping direction and driving impact.
About the Role
As Finance Manager – Retail Cost Transformation, you will act as the key Finance Business Partner to the Director of Transformation and their leadership team. You’ll provide insightful analysis, constructive challenge, and commercial guidance to influence decisions around operating costs, investment choices, and delivery of savings targets. A typical day will include reviewing cost performance, identifying risks and opportunities, shaping prioritisation discussions, and supporting senior stakeholders to make informed trade‑offs, all with a specific focus on our Savings Programme.
You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and corporate planning processes, monitor and report on CAPEX to support ROCE objectives, and own consistent, high‑quality management reporting across senior forums. In addition, you will lead ad‑hoc and bespoke analysis to support transformation initiatives and continuously improve the use of financial insight to drive outcomes.

You’ll be comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments, create clarity, and challenge assumptions to ensure resources focus on the right priorities. You will be commercially minded, resilient, and credible with senior stakeholders, including at director level. A pragmatic, outcome‑focused mindset, combined with the ability to influence, prioritise effectively, and maintain robust financial controls, will underpin your success.
