Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced Domestic Abuse Education Lead to join our Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Service. This is a vital role focused on improving outcomes for children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse.
You will lead on delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions, supporting professionals, and driving forward best practice across education and partner agencies. Working collaboratively within a multi‑agency environment, including MARAC, you will play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable children and reducing risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support staff to deliver effective domestic abuse interventions
* Assess and manage risk for children, young people, and families
* Develop and deliver training to education and Trust staff
* Work in partnership with families and multi‑agency professionals
* Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records
* Contribute to service improvement and promote best practice
About You
* Qualified in Social Work or hold a Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in working with complex families
* Experienced in domestic abuse work and safeguarding children
* Skilled in multi‑agency collaboration and risk assessment
* Confident communicator with strong report‑writing skills
* Able to lead, influence, and support others effectively
* Committed to equality, diversity, and continuous professional development
