We are looking for a full-time, permanent Night Animal Care Assistant to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary Referral Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of infection control to become part of a supportive and dedicated Animal Care Assistant team.
This varied, hands‑on role offers the chance to be closely involved in all aspects of patient care. Responsibilities include patient handling and restraint, kennel and ward maintenance, and routine laboratory tasks. You will also play a key role in supporting theatre procedures, cleaning and sterilising equipment and instruments and managing dispensing duties. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in making a real difference to patient welfare overnight.

* Animal Care qualifications are desirable
* Experience working with animals is essential, ideally with some experience working in a clinical environment.
* Remain calm and focused under pressure, with a caring and empathetic approach to your work.
* A strong team player with confident and effective communication skills.
Your shift pattern
You will work on a 7 on 7 off pattern, with 12‑hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm.
