Join a renowned London-based Football Club as a Non-Executive Director (NED).
About the Role
As an NED, you will collaborate with the board of directors, providing support and challenge to the executive team to achieve the club's strategic goals. You will also advise on company strategy and offer expertise to the chair and senior management.
Your Responsibilities
* Participate actively in monthly board meetings and relevant sub-committees.
* Bring independent perspectives to enhance board discussions and decision-making.
* Advise the chair and senior management on general and specialist matters.
* Contribute to strategy development and prepare specialist papers and briefings as needed.
* Represent the club at events and conferences.
* Review and monitor the implementation of strategic plans.
* Provide advice on major investments or divestments.
* Review financial performance against targets.
* Oversee significant organizational changes.
* Ensure legal, ethical, risk, and environmental compliance (ESG).
Skills & Experience
* Experience at Director, Executive, or C-Suite level (e.g., CFO, CTO, CISO, CIO, GC) in medium to large organizations or sporting bodies, particularly in Finance, IT, or Legal.
* Strong understanding of and focus on the local community.
* Knowledge or experience in Women's Football is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrate high commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
