Overview
Poundbury Pharmacy is a long-established independent community pharmacy. We are looking for a pharmacist to work in our branch in DT1. We are happy to consider a job share if you would prefer part time hours.
Salary up to £65k depending on experience
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 9:00-17:30 and 1 Saturday per month 9:00-12:00
Qualifications
* GPhC registered
* Able to provide high quality care and customer service
* Capable of the safe, legal and effective day-to-day running of a community pharmacy
* Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with patients and customers, with integrity & compassion
* You will be required to build good team working relationships, encourage learning and development and manage staff with the support of the Branch Lead & HR
* Leadership skills
* Community pharmacist experience preferred, but not essential
Responsibilities
* Dispense prescription medication accurately & in a timely manner
* Adhere to legal & ethical guidelines and compliance, updating knowledge & skills as necessary
* Ensure patient and branch records are kept accurate & up to date in accordance with any deadlines
* Provide expert advice on medication, potential side effects, and interactions to patients
* Educate patients on proper medication use, such as dosage, timing, and storage instructions
* Provide various patient services, eg vaccinations & the Pharmacy First services
* Support branch-level HR operations withing your team
