Amentum provides engineering, design, construction, planning, support, survey, design-build, project management and/or program management for our nuclear and defence industry clients. With more than fifty years of experience across the complete nuclear and defence asset lifecycle, we support client delivery and the associated infrastructure requirements at every stage of a project.

Position Summary

Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice and we have a need for a document controller, on a hybrid working basis, based from our Glasgow office.

About the opportunity:

Join us as a pivotal member of our Document Control team, where you will be entrusted with the management of critical documentation, including design and third-party information.
* As a Document Controller, you will be at the heart of maintaining the integrity and security of our documentation, a role that is vital in supporting our contracts and ensuring a seamless flow of information to our clients and external parties.
* Your role will extend beyond management, as you will also be a guide to the users of our Document Control systems. You will ensure that they are well-informed about the system's usage and requirements and will support the review of documents produced by the team. Your support will empower the team, enhancing their understanding of Document Control requirements and helping to overcome any obstacles, thereby ensuring the smooth operation of our system.

Here's What You'll Need:
* UK Nationality: Applicants must be sole UK Nationals, willing to obtain SC level security clearance, and have resided in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
* Document Control Experience: Applicants should have experience in a Document Control environment and a strong understanding of Information Management principles.
* Documentation Management: Experience in managing both internally and externally generated documentation, with an understanding of the controls required for effective management and distribution.
* Quality Assurance: An understanding of the importance of accurate documentation at both entry and exit points, recognizing the Document Control team's role in quality assurance. A strong attention to detail is therefore essential to ensure the accuracy and consistency of documentation.
* Secure Environment Familiarity: Experience or comfort in working within a secure environment.
* Security Levels Understanding: An appreciation for the varying security levels applicable to documentation and the importance of handling each level appropriately.
* Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Document Management Systems and other relevant software tools.
