Police Enquiry Officer (Front Counter Team)

Salary:
Grade 4 - Starts at A£26,106 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of A£28,653 per annum. The salary is based on a 37-hour workweek. For part-time roles, salary will be prorated. Exceptions may apply for existing police staff on the same grade.
Hours:
This role is 20 hours per week. Applications for flexible working patterns are welcomed. Starting salary for 20 hours is A£14,111 rising to A£15,488. Full-time equivalent is A£26,106 to A£28,563.
Additional Details:
* No annual leave during training; dates will be advised upon appointment.
* Training at Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter. Travel required.
* Based in a Council Building.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Being the first point of contact for reported crimes and incidents via front offices, 101, and other non-urgent means.
2. Providing initial responses, advice, information, and guidance, including 'signposting' to partner agencies.
3. Receiving and recording information accurately.
4. Supporting witnesses, victims, and the public, escalating as necessary.
Operational Details:
The Police Enquiry Office operates from Monday to Saturday.
