Job Summary
Join Candino CA as a Podiatrist with an incentive of £2,000 pro rata (conditions apply). The role is part of the North East Essex Podiatry service, providing care to patients from our clinics and through home visits. You will support a range of pathologies including diabetes, vascular issues, ingrowing nails, biomechanics and musculoskeletal concerns.
We are looking for a band 5 podiatrist or a final year student due to register with the HCPC this summer. The role involves assessment, differential diagnosis, advice, training, appropriate intervention and the evaluation of planned care. Teams across health, social care, education, mental health and voluntary sector collaborate to deliver holistic and joined‑up care.
Key responsibilities include carrying out single assessments, contributing to integrated care plans, developing intervention programmes, acting as care coordinator, reviewing care plans, supporting patients with self‑management, offering training to parents, clients and carers, and supporting assistants, students and volunteers.
Essential Experience
* Experience with the care group
* Experience of working or volunteering in a related area
Essential Qualifications
* Registered Podiatrist with HCPC
* Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses and experience to degree level of equivalent
* Recognised registered qualification
Desirable
* Registered member of the Royal College of Podiatry or another equivalent organisation
Essential Knowledge & Skills
* Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of assessments relevant to the specialist care group
* Knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group with an understanding of relative benefits and comparative outcomes
* Awareness of national guidance relevant to own specialities, including consent issues and other legal frameworks
* Understanding of the roles of other professionals
* Knowledge of standards of record keeping and evidence‑based practice
* Awareness of the strategic direction of ESNEFT
Essential Skills
* Car owner/driver with access to a motor vehicle – travel to other sites that cannot be easily accessed by public transport is required

Contract & Salary
* Band 5 salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum (pro‑rata)
