**About the Role**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Operative to join our Despatch team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all finished goods are accurately picked, packed, processed and dispatched in line with customer requirements, internal procedures, and industry standards. This role is key to maintaining a smooth and efficient outbound logistics operation, ensuring documentation accuracy, timely collections, and adherence to safety and quality expectations.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Generate despatch documentation including packing slips, customs invoices, Certificates of Conformity and Authorised Release Certificates (Form 1s).
* Ensure all documentation meets internal requirements and relevant aerospace standards.
* Provide import/export clearance instructions and liaise effectively with freight forwarders and other stakeholders.
* Carry out daily despatch activities and material movements in accordance with Work Instructions.
* Record all logistics transactions using the ERP system / electronic data capture tools.
* Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records across logistics locations.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
* Identify, record and quarantine any non-conforming or expired product.
**Essential Skills & Experience**
* Experience in a logistics or warehouse environment, with strong understanding of stock, inventory, picking, packing and despatch processes.
* Proficiency in MRP/ERP stock control activities (receipts, moves, issues, despatch).
* Experience working with freight forwarders and customs clearance processes.
* High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
* Understanding of manual handling, safe goods movement and general H&S systems.
**Desirable Skills**
* Experience within aerospace or defence sectors.
* Authorisation to release Certificates of Conformity and controlled documentation (EASA/FAA/CAA).
* Knowledge of export licensing controls and ITAR.
* Awareness of AS/ISO quality systems.
* Experience with Excel-based order books or work-to lists.
* Cycle counting / perpetual inventory experience.
* Forklift licence.
