We are looking for a Work Based Assessor in the area of Carpentry and Joinery. The role will involve conducting work-based assessments and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation for candidates undertaking vocational qualifications; to develop industry and employer links and generate new business for the college. You should be appropriately qualified with ideally a certificate in Carpentry & Joinery at SVQ L3 or PDA level 7 or equivalent apprenticeship / time-served qualification. Having any of the following assessor or verifier qualifications would be an advantage - D32 D33 D34, or A Units and V units or more recent assessor/verifier awards. A current driving licence and an ability and willingness to travel to assess candidates is also a necessary requirement. This post is variable hours up to 35 hours per week, providing a variety of working hour options for applicants, thus potentially suited to someone self-employed, with an ability to work part of the week with UHI Perth.
