JG Pears (Newark) Ltd is a progressive and successful animal by-product processing company, supplying proteins and fats to major pet food brands and biofuel producers.
Following substantial investment in new plant and professional expertise, the company is strengthening the rendering production management team at the 24/7 Low Marnham site.
We set out to appoint four experienced Shift Performance Managers to enhance shift leadership, improve operational control and drive performance standards across the plant. Three of the four roles have now been successfully filled, marking strong progress in building a capable and forward focused management structure.
One remaining vacancy will complete the team, ensuring consistent leadership coverage across all shifts and reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence, safety and continuous improvement at Low Marnham.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off 12 hours days/nights

Responsibilities
* Provide safety leadership, help develop a culture leading to zero lost time injuries and zero food safety incidents
* Ensure all activities across the shift comply with regulatory environmental requirements and support good neighbourhood relations.
* Communicate with other departments ensuring production requirements are met
* Supervise, motivate, challenge and influence the Supervisor and operatives of both production and engineering department of the shift ensuring down time is to a minimum
* Comply with the site health & safety requirements carrying out risk assessments and accident investigations with the site Health & Safety team
* Ensure the plant produces the product in a timely and quality manner to satisfy customer orders
* Ensure supervisors and staff carryout correct completion of factory paperwork, signed and dated appropriately and filed correctly
Requirements
* Experience in high-volume, heavy processing manufacturing.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
* Strong technical knowledge of engineering and process plant operations.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
