Company Description The Pallet Network(Part of the Culina Group) facilitates pallet deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe through its cross dock facilities at Swadlincote and Preston.

Job Description The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and support our network partners, ensuring their long-term sustainability and consistent delivery of high-quality service. This includes attracting suitable partners who align with our strategic goals, supporting their profitability within the inter-partner rate framework, and driving year-on-year growth in input volume through collaborative efforts with the Commercial team.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Management & Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and onboard network partners who reflect the ethos and strategic direction of the business. Ensure ongoing support and development to maintain service excellence and partner sustainability.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess partner performance against agreed KPIs. Provide regular performance reports to the Board of Directors, highlighting any underperformance and recommending strategic interventions.
Financial Oversight: Ensure partners operate within the self-funded inter-partner rate model. Ensure financial viability for existing partners and attract new partners who meet commercial and operational criteria.
Profitability Support: Work closely with partners to help them achieve and maintain profitability, offering guidance and insight into operational efficiencies and commercial opportunities.
Volume Growth: Collaborate with partners and the Commercial team to drive input volume growth across the network. Ensure partner sales functions are aligned with TPNs budget targets, focusing on both the quantity and quality of hub fees.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear, consistent, and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders. Influence, inform, and engage to support strategic objectives.
Conflict Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve disputes or issues within the network, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining strong relationships.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process and service improvements across the network.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all partner activities comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Market Awareness: Stay informed about developments in the pallet industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to your team, ensuring they are equipped and empowered to succeed in their roles.
Future Scope: The role may evolve to include management of the owned-operations department, including establishing and overseeing the appropriate team structure.
Qualifications Experience within a similar senior positionwithin a pallet-network environment.
Proven experience in partner management and/or commercial roles.
Understanding of network management and commercial growth strategies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in conducting reviews, and driving continuous improvement.
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills with ability to identify risk.
Able to work in a high pressurised environment.
IT literate - working knowledge of MS Packages.
