The Role: As our Sports Coach, you will deliver engaging PE sessions and extracurricular activities, encouraging pupils to develop their physical skills while fostering positive behaviour and teamwork. You will also support classroom teachers in promoting discipline, focus, and motivation-skills vital to both coaching and teaching. Responsibilities: Planning and delivering fun, inclusive PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum Organising after-school sports clubs and competitions Promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behaviour during activities Supporting pupils in developing confidence and resilience through sport Assisting teachers with behaviour management strategies using coaching techniques Encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle across the school community Candidate Requirements: Experience in sports coaching, physical education, or related roles Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire children Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passion for encouraging children's physical activity and personal development Relevant coaching qualifications or sports-specific expertise are desirable How Coaching Skills Benefit Classrooms: Skills developed through sports coaching such as discipline, motivation, clear communication, and positive reinforcement are highly transferable to the classroom.
