Location: Little Elms Beckenham Queens Road
Position: Nursery Practitioner
Salary: £27,040 - £32,000 per year (Full-time, 40 hours per week, 4 days per week)
You will be based at the Beckenham Queens Road Nursery. The company does not sponsor employment for international workers; you must provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.
Up to £2,000 Welcome Bonus (subject to normal tax and NI deductions). The bonus will be paid in two instalments: £500 after the first salary payment following joining, and another £500 upon completion of probation (6 months, unless extended).
Qualifications
* Level 2/3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
* Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to use your own initiative
* Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

Key Responsibilities
* Childcare
o Ensuring all areas of the EYFS and Statutory Framework are met at all times.
o Ensuring Safeguarding/Child Protection Policies and Procedures are implemented.
o Provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, taking children's individual needs into consideration.
o Ensuring the nursery offers an environment which reflects the cultural diversity of all children.
o Follow Observation, Planning and Assessment Framework within the Little Elms Group.
o Reflect on daily practise and identify areas for continuous improvement.
o Build and maintain effective partnerships with parents.
o To be the key person for a designated group of children (not applicable to relief or lunch cover).
* Health & Safety
o Respond to, and report health and safety issues as and when they arise.
o Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness/tidiness within the nursery.
o Carrying out health and safety checks in line with Company Policy.
o Follow control measures detailed within Company Risk Assessments.
* General
o Responsible for duties associated with the nursery playroom(s), such as maintaining children’s records and any other duties as reasonably requested.
o Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
o To meet deadlines as set by the Company.
