Trust Resident Doctor
* Older Adult Psychiatry, Ormskirk We are recruiting a Trust Resident Doctor to work with the Older Adult Integrated Mental Health Service for West Lancashire, based in Ormskirk.
The post is full time (40 hours per week) and fixed term for a period of 6 months.
The successful candidate will have an interest in and commitment to mental health services evidenced by at least 12 months experience in psychiatry.
For this reason it is extremely important for applicants to detail carefully their clinical experience in psychiatry as part of the application.
The post is based at Brookside Retirement Village in Ormskirk.
The Older Adult Integrated Community Mental Health Service in West Lancashire provides specialist secondary mental health care to adults aged 65 and over living in the community.
The service includes the Memory Assessment Service (MAS), Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Care Home Liaison Team (CHLT) and Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT), working closely together to provide timely, high‑quality assessment and treatment You will provide medical input primarily to the Older Adult Memory Assessment Service, with additional support to CMHT and RITT as required.
The post holder will work under the supervision of Consultant Psychiatrists and as part of a well‑established multidisciplinary team.
An ability and willingness to travel is important since this role does involve visiting different sites.
As a Trust Resident Doctor, you will be able to join the Local Academic Programme that takes place on a Wednesday afternoon.
You will also receive a weekly supervision session with a senior doctor.
