You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing and production environment.
Required skills & Qualifications: Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of failures across a range of mechanical machinery (gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics) and electrical (3-phase power, PLCs, sensors) systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools (Lathes, grinders, welding equipment) Digital Literacy: Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the setup and testing of new industrial systems, machinery and production lines.
Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pneumatic, and electrical circuits (e.g, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations) Automation Skills : Experience with programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs) Education: Level3 NVQ or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical/ Electro-mechanical/mechanical maintenance.
Soft Skills: Advanced problem solving, time management, and the ability to work under high-pressure downtime situations with process improvement experience.
Core Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repair: Implement & perform routine preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment operates efficiently and minimize downtime.
Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions using diagnostic tools, sensors, and observations.
Assembly & Installation: Assemble complex mechanical parts according to CAD designs and technical manuals.
Testing: Performance and safety tests on new or repaired systems to verify they meet specifications.
Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and reports of technical findings. xxuwjjq
