Position Summary
The Senior IT Delivery Manager is responsible for optimising and overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of software development and support services for one or more key customers. Operating within a complex environment that blends legacy systems and modern technologies, the role ensures that all design, documentation, build, and implementation activities are delivered efficiently, effectively, and within agreed commercial constraints.
Acting as the primary IT interface for the customer, the Senior IT Delivery Manager builds strong relationships, develops an in‑depth understanding of customer business objectives, and aligns these with Ingram’s IT capabilities. The role coordinates a matrix-managed team, including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and QA professionals, ensuring work is accurately scoped, prioritised, scheduled, and delivered to plan.
This is a fast‑paced, customer‑facing position that requires resilience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to balance customer satisfaction with resource availability, delivery quality, and commercial considerations. The Senior IT Delivery Manager drives progress across multiple demanding workstreams, provides regular and consistent reporting, and plays a key role in maintaining service stability while supporting the organisation’s ongoing transition to Agile ways of working.
This role sits within the UK IT Team and works closely with Software Services leadership, Account Managers, and operational colleagues. It requires frequent customer interaction and a strong ability to influence, manage expectations, and navigate challenging conversations while maintaining positive partnerships.
