Up to £45,000 p.a. depending on experience

The successful Business Consultant will support some of the most ambitious, high growth potential innovative SME’s in the East Midlands Region and help them to benefit from national and global opportunities so they could become tomorrow's global success stories.
Role & Responsibilities of the Business Consultant:
* Understand the unique needs of innovative SMEs and tailor support accordingly
* Coach and mentor clients to develop long-term innovation and commercialisation strategies
* Conduct detailed business analyses to identify growth opportunities and priorities
* Provide practical, strategic advice and develop actionable growth plans
* Connect SMEs with the right public and private sector support services
* Manage a portfolio of clients with one-to-one, bespoke support
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Innovate UK standards
* Meet targets related to SME growth, business creation, and job growth
* Prepare timely and accurate project documentation
About You as the Business Consultant:
* Experienced in engaging and influencing at C-suite level
* A proactive self-starter who finds ambitious businesses via networks and marketing
* Knowledgeable about Creative, Digital, Industrial, or MedTech sectors
* Familiar with emerging markets, especially in the East Midlands
* Deep understanding of SME challenges and business disciplines affecting growth
* Practical grasp of State Aid rules affecting business support
* Proven track record in creating and delivering actionable growth plans for SMEs
* Skilled negotiator with confidence in business advice delivery
* Experienced working with key stakeholders to boost economic development
* Strong report writing skills and attention to detail
* Excellent coaching, mentoring, and motivational abilities
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
