A prestigious private estate venue, set within the stunning Norfolk countryside and just under 30 minutes from Norwich, is seeking an exceptionally talented and experienced Event Manager to join their elite team.

About the Role
This is a truly hands-on role at the heart of everything the estate does. As Event Manager, you will be the driving force behind the seamless delivery of every wedding and event hosted on the estate — leading from the front and ensuring every element is executed with precision, elegance and care.
You will take complete ownership of the operational delivery of large-scale weddings, working in close collaboration with the world-class catering team to ensure every service moment — from pre-reception drinks through to the evening celebrations — is perfectly timed, coordinated and delivered.
Managing swift, professional and immaculate turnarounds between events is a critical part of this role, ensuring each new group of guests arrives to a venue that looks and feels truly spectacular. You will also be responsible for leading and inspiring the event day team, setting the tone from the moment the day begins and upholding the very highest standards of service throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Taking full ownership of the setup and preparation of the estate for large-scale, luxury weddings of 150+ guests, ensuring every detail is immaculate
Coordinating all catering operations before, during and after events — managing timing, sequencing and communication between front of house and catering teams
Overseeing smooth and efficient venue turnarounds, ensuring rapid yet flawless transitions between events
Leading, briefing and managing the full event day team — setting clear expectations and maintaining five-star service standards throughout
Serving as the primary point of contact on the day for the wedding party, guests, suppliers and internal teams
Anticipating and resolving challenges swiftly and calmly with minimal disruption to the client or guest experience
Conducting thorough post-event checks and overseeing the full breakdown and reset of the venue
About You
Proven experience in a hands-on event management or senior operational role within a luxury wedding venue, five-star hotel or high-end hospitality environment — this is essential
Demonstrable experience managing and delivering large-scale events of 150 or more guests to an exceptional standard
A deep understanding of high-end catering operations and the ability to coordinate flawlessly with kitchen and catering teams
A natural and inspiring leader composed under pressure, decisive in the moment and passionate about delivering a world-class guest experienc
An acute eye for detail with an uncompromising approach to quality and presentation
Impeccably presented with outstanding communication skills and the warmth and confidence to engage with high-profile and discerning clients
A thorough understanding of the luxury wedding market and the expectations of premium clients
Full, clean driving licence and own transport essential given the rural location
Working Hours & Salary
A varied, seasonal role with the estate at its busiest during the spring and summer months. Hours are approximately 40+ per week with a full salary paid year-round. Event days fall most commonly on Saturdays, supported by preparation and administration days throughout the week. Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Sundays is essential.
Starting salary: £30,000-£35,000 per year, depending on experience, with a formal salary and performance review after six months.
