Role Overview
As a Duty & Assessment Social Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring children and adolescents are safeguarded and supported effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertaking statutory assessments under relevant legislation
* Responding to referrals and identifying risk and need at an early stage
* Developing clear, outcome-focused plans for children and families
* Working closely with partner agencies to deliver timely interventions
* Managing cases from initial referral through to appropriate outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
* A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in a permanent role within a local authority
* Must not have held a permanent or fixed-term local authority position within the past 12 weeks
* Proven experience within a Duty & Assessment team
* Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks and safeguarding procedures
* Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-demand statutory environment
