Solicitor to provide independent legal advice for property transactions Company Description Lawyers Online is a law firm based in Broadway offering independent legal advice for property transactions across the United Kingdom. The practice comprises of 3 solicitors 2 trainee lawyers and 3 admin staff. The office is in a detached building at the top of the high street with an outside courtyard and ample parking behind. Broadway is a very pretty, 600 year old cotswold village with the famous Lygon Arms Hotel at its centre which includes James Martin’s Grill and Tavern. Distance to M5 15mins, Cheltenham 20mins, Worcester 30 mins, Birmingham 1hr. Role Description We are looking for a solicitor to provide independent legal advice for property transactions. The successful candidate will be adept at using Zoom for meetings via our automated booking system and have a certain level of IT competence. All training will be provided in-house. We work with 137 different lenders and are familiar with all their particular procedures and documentation requiring witnessing, signing and certifying. Appointments are 10-15 minutes long, start at 10am and run all though the day till 5pm with a lunch hour from 1-2pm. It is an engaging role meeting many different types of people requiring independent legal advice. Types of Independent Legal Advice Residential and Commercial property, including buy-to-let portfolios, bridging and development loans that require a solicitor’s certification. This includes director’s guarantees for limited companies, JBSP’s (Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor), TR1’s (Transfer of Title), ID1s & ID5’s. We are also involved in a variety of different commercial transactions. These are often development loans to fund refurbishment or change of use and can involve multiple companies. These transactions are more complex as they can require cross guarantees and deeds of subordination.
