The Role As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will support pupils’ learning in literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects while fostering independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours. Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents, you will ensure all pupils receive consistent, personalised support. Monitoring pupil progress, providing targeted interventions, and maintaining a positive classroom environment will be central to your role. Your contribution will help pupils consolidate core skills and develop confidence as they progress through Key Stage 2. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Support enrichment activities, school events, and extra-curricular opportunities Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing Work effectively as part of a professional and supportive team Location The school is located in Isleworth, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
