Role Description

THE ROLE_
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile mid-weight designer with 5+ years’ experience to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Group Design Lead, this role will collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK and across international markets, supporting global initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our visual communications, particularly through the creation of impactful, brand-aligned presentation materials.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_
* Collaborate closely with the Group Design Lead on assigned projects from concept to completion.
* Support the Marketing team and the wider agency by leading design projects across brand, video, collateral, thought leadership presentations and activation from start to finish.
* A proactive, flexible, and agile mindset, ready to adapt when challenges arise.
* Help to elevate the visual craft and aesthetic of Talon across the board, Online & Offline.
* Champion continuous improvement through performance analysis of design strategies and assets.
* Act as brand guardian for the agency, ensuring all collateral is on brand and training team members where required.
* Role model the Talon values and behaviours to help ensure the best possible culture and tone is set throughout Talon.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR_
* An all-around brilliant designer with a strong understanding of branding, typography, layout design, communication, and design for digital and print.
* An expert in PowerPoint/presentation design.
* A high level of video editing, motion graphics, animation, filming and photography skills.
* Able to create engaging assets for social media.
* Ensures a high standard of design output across the business. Act as brand guardian for the agency, ensuring all collateral is on brand.
* Challenging the norm, continually proposing new ideas, rationalising and championing them internally.
* Highly creative with supreme attention to detail and genuine interest in the advertising & media landscape.
* Excellent time management, well organised and delivers great solutions at pace. Ensuring all assets adhere to industry best practices, optimising formats, and file sizes.
* Great communication and collaboration.
* 5+ years’ experience within a design environment – a degree is not essential, but you will need an appropriate level of experience, and media agency experience is a bonus.
* Robust portfolio.
* Project ownership – experience of taking projects from brief through to completion. even with a loose brief.
* Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign) and PowerPoint/Keynote.
* Significant years’ experience, with experience in a B2B role preferred.
